William Bourke from Kristin School, with his artwork inspired by the marine environment
William Bourke, 11 years old, from Kristin School, has chosen the Ministry of Fisheries as the inspiration for his artwork.
“I would like help your organisation. I would like to help prevent people from throwing rubbish in the water and polluting the sea so the fish won't get caught or tangled. In art this term we have been learning about how artists are inspired by natural environments. I chose your organisation as my inspiration because I believe you do an important job in protecting our fish species.”
The media William used is crayon and dye.
