SHARED FISHERIES PUBLIC MEETINGS

The Shared Fisheries public meetings are now complete. Meetings were held in Whangarei, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, Tauranga and Nelson. A PDF copy of the slides and posters presented at the meetings can by accessed using the download links below.

The first PDF file contains 22 slides that were presented at the public meetings. These slides provide an overview of the objective and key points of the policies set out in the discussion document.

The second PDF file contains 35 posters. These posters provide more detail on each of the policy proposals. The posters have been split into three sets within the PDF:

• Set 1 covers ‘Getting better information’ and ‘Setting the TAC’.
• Set 2 covers ‘Priorities for allocating the TAC’ and ‘Setting and adjusting amateur and commercial allocations’.
• Set 3 covers ‘Local area management’, ‘Redress’, ‘Amateur Fishing Trust’.
