BUILDING CAPABILITY FOR COLLABORATIVE GOVERNANCE
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR THE PROVISION OF MULTI-STAKEHOLDER RESEARCH SERVICES 2008-2011
The Ministry of Fisheries (MFish) is leading a cross-departmental project focused on building capability for collaborative governance.
The project aims to investigate, observe, develop and implement a New Zealand (NZ) model for collaborative governance as a means of resolving entrenched and complex natural resource management problems, and to build capabilities within government departments and with stakeholders to implement the model successfully.
The other government departments involved are the Ministry for the Environment (MfE), the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) and the Department of Conservation (DOC).
The deadline for submissions is 5pm Friday 4 July 2008.

“It is expected the research provider will follow the methodology used in the previous work in the Nordic countries in these ex post case studies, relying on participant interviews and documents, and applying diverse theoretical perspectives to the interpretation of the data underpinned by a comparative analytical framework (Salmon and Zilliacus 2005).”
