The first inaugural National Meeting of Regional Recreational Fishing Forums took place in Wellington on the 20-21st November 2007. The meeting brought together 13 regional forum members from the 7 regional recreational forums spread across the north and south islands. The regional recreational fishing forums aim to improve the recreational sector’s participation in fisheries management processes and decisions.
