Kaipara Harbour closed for taking scallops.

The area below does not open on 1 September 2009 when the scallop season starts in the Auckland and Kermadec fishing area

  1. Kaipara Harbour means that area of the New Zealand fisheries waters that lies within Kaipara Harbour, the entrance to which is defined by a straight line drawn from the southernmost extremity of North Head (at 36°23.81′S and 174°03.92′E) to South Head (at 36°28.06′S and 174°09.73′E).
  2. To avoid doubt, the geographical co-ordinates in subclause (1) are in terms of WGS84 datum.
