STATEMENT OF FORECAST SERVICE PERFORMANCE FOR DEPARTMENTAL OUTPUT EXPENSES
FOR THE YEAR ENDING 30 JUNE 2006
Revision of Departmental Output Structures
In the draft Statement of Intent issued in December 2004, the Ministry set out the changes being made to its output class and output structure for the 2005/06 financial year.
Since that time, and following the passage of the Public Finance Amendment Act 2004, the term ‘Departmental Output Class’ has been replaced with ‘Departmental Output Expense’.
The following table shows the revised output structure for the Ministry for 2005/06. This is followed by a table showing a comparison between the output classes for 2004/05 and the output expenses for 2005/06.

Note:
There is a slight variation between the SOI and the 2005/06 Main Estimates. In the latter document, the output expense titles ‘Fisheries operations’ and ‘Fisheries compliance’ are still called ‘Fisheries management’ and ‘Fisheries enforcement’ respectively. In every other respect, they are the same and contain the same outputs and information.
