Research and Science Information Standard for New Zealand Fisheries

The Ministry of Fisheries Research and Science Information Standard for New Zealand Fisheries (the ‘Research Standard’) is a policy statement of best practice in the delivery and quality assurance of research and science information for New Zealand fisheries.

The Standard sets out key principles for research and science information quality that apply to everyone involved in the provision of research and science information. It is founded on international best practice for science quality assurance, tailored to New Zealand’s requirements.

The Research Standard will be a valuable addition to the range of tools available to help ensure that New Zealand’s fisheries management remains internationally trusted and respected.
