3. CURRENT ISSUES

MFish has a number of key fisheries issues to be resolved over the period 2004 to 2007.

These issues are outlined below. The issues have been grouped according to whether they require attention immediately, over the next 6 months, or over the next three years. Within each timeframe, issues are grouped into four types of issue: policy, regulatory, service delivery, or organisational.

For each issue the key actions or decisions the Minister(s) may need to take are identified.
