Statement of Non-departmental Unappropriated Expenditure

for the year ended 30 June

At the close of the year, the Ministry was required to seek approval from the Minister of Finance under Section 26B of the Public Finance Act 1989 to unappropriated expenditure in the expense item Contributions to International Organisations. The amount involved was $9,000, (3 percent) in excess of the total appropriation of $300,000.

The unappropriated expenditure related to exchange rate fluctuations on the Crown’s contributions to international fisheries organisations.

These schedules should be read in conjunction with the notes on pages 82 to 86.
