Explanation:

Many fish live in New Zealand’s oceans. Some New Zealanders value our fisheries because they provide jobs and money; others value them because being able to catch and eat fish is part of what it means to be a New Zealander. The Ministry of fisheries wants our fisheries to be just as valuable when we pass them on to the next generation.

For more information about the Ministry and the balance between taking fish now and making sure there are going to be fish in the water in the future, visit our websites: www.fish.govt.nz and www.starfish.govt.nz.
