Winning Streak For Christchurch Students
22 October 2003
Christchurch secondary school students have developed a winning streak when it comes to designing winning posters about marine biodiversity.
Cashmere High School student Anton Mather has just been presented with a digital camera for his winning entry in the Ministry of Fisheries' Term 3 marine biodiversity competition. Last term Avonside Girls' High School student Sarah Fulham won the competition.
MFish Chief Scientist John Annala presented Anton with his prize, a digital camera, for his entry, "Don't be a selfish gatherer", at the school assembly this morning (Wednesday 22 October).
The competition is designed to raise students' understanding of marine biodiversity, and continues in Term 4.
