CONSULTATION PROCESS ON PROPOSED COST RECOVERED FISHERIES SERVICES AND COST RECOVERY LEVIES 2009/10
The Ministry is consulting with commercial stakeholders and other interested stakeholders on the cost recovered fisheries services to be provided for the 2009/10 financial year and the cost recovery levies from 1 October 2009.
The attachments below provide information on the process to be followed, including the proposed cost recovered services and the fisheries research projects and observer plan for 2009/10.
Proposed Fisheries Services
There are four services subject to cost recovery.
- Details of these are provided in appendix one.
- Appendix two lists the fisheries research projects proposed for 2009/10, along with an estimated cost range to complete each of the projects.
- Appendix three provides details the proposed observer services program.
- Appendix four provides a copy of the proposed cost recovery levies using the current overhead cost allocation method.
Fisheries Research Projects
This provides details of each of the fisheries research projects under consultation. The information is structured by fishery type (eg aquatic environment, deep water etc.)

All written comments must be provided by this deadline. No extension is possible.
Access model
The Ministry can provide a copy of the MS Access model used to calculate the proposed cost recovery levy allocations, and which details the component costs that make up the levies for affected fish stocks.
