Figure 2: Relative spawning biomass and maximum legal weight per recruit of longfin eel (Anguilla dieffenbachii) by harvest rate (F) (Hoyle and Jellyman 2002). The present maximum legal weight of 4 kg in the South Island slightly increases spawning per recruit beyond that without a maximum weight.
