TECHNICAL ADVISORY GROUP (TAG)
The TAG was appointed by the Minister of Fisheries and the Ministers for the Environment and Economic Development, to provide independent and strategic advice on proposals for the reform of aquaculture legislation to enable the development of sustainable aquaculture in New Zealand. The TAG prepared a report containing a number of recommendations for reform of the aquaculture legislation.

CONSULTATION ON THE TAG REPORT
The Minister of Fisheries released the TAG report for consultation in November 2009 seeking submissions on the recommendations. Consultation closed on 16 December 2009. Over 200 submissions were received, and the key themes were summarised. The report on the key themes is available below, and individual submissions are available here.
