Review of Sustainability measures for Rock lobster 7 and 8 (CRA 7 and CRA 8) - 1 April 2008

In December 2007, the National Rock Lobster Management Group (NRLMG) provided the Minister with initial advice on sustainability measures for the Otago and Southland rock lobster fisheries (CRA 7 and CRA 8, respectively) for 1 April 2008. The Ministry of Fisheries consulted on the proposals on the Minister’s behalf between December 2007 and February 2008.

The NRLMG provided the Minister with a Final Advice Paper in February 2008 and a Supplementary Advice Paper in March 2008. The Minister has now made his decisions, which are reported in the attached decision letter.
