QMS INTRODUCTIONS OCTOBER 2009

In June 2008 MFish sought stakeholder input on whether or not to introduce octopus, large ostrich foot whelk, carpet shark, hammerhead shark, javelinfish, orange perch, rattails, redbait, seal shark or silver dory into the QMS on 1 October 2009.

After consideration of stakeholder submissions, together with some additional information, MFish has now made decisions regarding that process. MFish’s decisions are contained in the attached letter.
