Quota tenders

The results of all Crown quota tenders conducted since 2005 are included in this section. The information presented includes:

  • The stock and the number of shares tendered for that stock that was included in the tender. For each stock there are 100,000,000 shares and the number of shares tendered represents the proportion of total number of shares that was tendered.
  • The number of accepted offers. This represents the number of bids accepted by the Ministry that were above the reserve price.
  • Price per share and number of shares accepted. The price per share is calculated by dividing the total bid price by the number of shares bid for.
  • As the price per share and number of shares are relatively meaningless numbers, the ACE equivalent (kg) has been included to add some context. This represents the amount of ACE that would be generated by the Number of shares based on the Total Allowable Commercial Catch (TACC) at the time.
