Conversion Factors

In late 2005 MFish introduced the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Notice 2005, which replaced the existing conversion factors notice. The notice contained revised principal landed state definitions that were developed in consultation with the fishing industry.

CHANGES TO CONVERSION FACTORS FOR 1 APRIL 2009

The following changes to the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Notice 2005 will take effect from 1 April 2009:

  1. The conversion factor for frostfish dressed (FRO DRE) is reduced from 1.80 to 1.50
  2. A conversion factor for ling minced, skin-off fillets (LIN MKF) of 3.10 is introduced
  3. Revised definitions for skin-off trimmed fillets (TSK), skin-on trimmed fillets (TRF) and pin bones are included.
