Current coastal permit applications and recent aquaculture decisions

For details of coastal permit applications the Ministry has been notified of see the current applications table below. Applications are added to this table:

1. when they have been publicly notified by the relevant regional council; or
2. if the application is not publicly notified, when the regional council has made a decision. The current applications table also shows the stages that coastal permits are at in the Ministry’s aquaculture decision process. An order of processing is assigned to a coastal permit in the table when the consent authority has requested an aquaculture decision. The table excludes applications lodged prior to 1 October 2011 that are in the Resource Management Act appeal processes (for example, the Environment Court). For further information on these applications, which can be viewed in NABIS, please contact the relevant regional council.

   For details of coastal permits where the Director-General has recently made an aquaculture decision, including a link to the decision paper, see the recent aquaculture decisions table below. Decisions are added to this table when the notice of the decision is published in the Gazette.
